This evening I’m headed into the city to watch the Nats take on the Reds. Last night the two teams played a 14-inning game with the Nats walking off winners after a Ben Revere RBI Double. The Nats have won 6 straight after losing 7 in a row. This team is very streaky. I wonder which team will show up today.
Joe Ross is scheduled to pitch. I picked him up on my fantasy team last year and kept him for this year. He’s part of the reason my team is in contention for one of the money spots this year (I’m in 8th out of 25 and the top-8 get payouts). I haven’t watched him pitch in person before so this is exciting. Nats games are always a good time but getting to watch your fantasy pitcher on your favorite team… yeah I have high expectations!
We’re headed downtown early today. Hoping to get a spot near the stadium then go get dinner and drinks at RPM Italian DC which opened up this week (last week when this publishes). We went to the one in Chicago a couple months ago. It was 10/10. I guess I have high expectations for this too!
That’s all I have for today. Time to put the coffee on and crank out a little freelance work this Saturday morning before all the fun.
